The Lord God Keeps His Promises

Sometimes we doubt that this is true, but God always does what He says he will. It may not happen when we want it to or when we feel it should, but His timing is perfect and His promises will come to pass as long as we continue in faith, believing that they will happen. Unfortunately we have trouble waiting for God. After what seems like a long time, we start to doubt that our prayer could possibly be answered. Our faith dies, and so does our answer. Faith is necessary for answered prayer. Without it, there is no answer.

When God Speaks

When God has something to say, you will hear it. He will make sure you hear it. The Bible says, "my sheep know my voice". The Holy Spirit resides within those who have been born again, guiding and directing them via a small, inner voice. You will hear that quiet, inner voice if you become still and listen. What does God's voice sound like? Probably a lot like you, when you are thinking thoughts in your head. You might hear " don't go that way" while driving, and ignore it, just to end up in horrible traffic. You then think, "I knew I shouldn't have come this way". That inner voice that was warning you was the Holy Spirit. If you begin to listen to these promptings in your spirit, your life will begin to reflect a growing closesness with God.
